Who We Are
About Western Weber CTC
Western Weber Communities that Care (CTC) coalition is a collaborative project of the communities comprising the Fremont and West Field High School cones. Community members, parents, teachers, local businesses, key leaders, and organizations work together to strengthen youth and families with an overarching goal of reducing and preventing youth substance use and mental health challenges and increasing resiliency and healthy behaviors.

​The Communities that Care model uses prevention science through an evidence-based process model to focus on promoting healthy youth development, improve youth outcomes, and reduce problem behaviors.

Western Weber CTC aims to empower and protect all youth and families by bringing resources, education, and opportunities into the community that will support productive, healthy, and confident youth.
Our Vision
The youth prevention vision of our non-profit organization is to provide a safe and supportive environment where young people can access the resources and support they need to live healthy and fulfilled lives. We strive to empower youth to make informed decisions, develop skills and gain knowledge to prevent risky behaviors and foster healthy relationships. We believe in creating an environment that promotes positive self-esteem and fosters resilience in young people. Our ultimate goal is for every youth to reach their full potential and live a life of purpose.
OUR PURPOSE

Support the health and well-being of community through evidence-based strategies

Support and conduct educational and informational activities to increase personal responsibility, individual growth, and public awareness of alcohol and substance abuse trends and appropriate interventions

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to identify risk and protective factors within the community and implement programs, policies, and practices that utilize the community’s strengths and resources for successful outcomes
